The Association (EDA) helps the work of the diocese in Egypt including the supply of equipment, assistance with traveling expenses and help training ordinands from the diocese.

The Diocese of Egypt covers Egypt, Libya, Algeria,Tunisia, the Horn of Africa and Ethiopia.

The work includes social programs, medical clinics, schools and homes. There is a program for refugees in Cairo, a school for the deaf and a general hospital (see projects).
