Donations can be made  to projects anywhere within the Diocese in  Egypt  by channeling them through the Egypt Diocesan Association (EDA). It is especially helpful if they are made within the Gift Aid scheme as EDA is a registered charity and acts as a financial channel for such donations.  Please send donations by cheque to:-

Rev. Canon Peter R Heartfield (Hon. Treasurer)

1 st Johns House, 40 Northgate, Canterbury, Kent, CT1 1 BE, UK

Tel/fax 01227451621

After EDA’s administration expenses, which are small compared to its subscriptions, the surplus funds are all donated to specific needs in Egypt,  Ethiopia and the Chaplaincies.   The needs are allocated from specific  requests coordinated by the Bishop's office and after discussion with the Bishop or his office and the EDA committee.

Recent donations have for example been put towards the following building and project works:-

The extension of the Harpur Memorial Hospital, Menouf.

Equipping the new administration in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia following the consecration of the new Bishop.

Bibles in the Neuer language for Neuer refugees now living in Ethiopia.

The building and repair of churches in Addis Ababa and Menouf.

The Social Centres at Ain Shams and Medinet El Salam.

Building of the Clinic at Sadat City.

A new minibus for Menouf School.

Expansion of the Deaf Unit,

The work of the Publishing House.

Establishment of a Diocesan Development Office in Cairo

An office for the assistant Bishop in Addis.

If you pay UK income tax you can increase your gift by 28% by completing a Gift Aid Declaration obtainable from the treasurer.

Please make cheques payable to the 'Egypt Diocesan Association.'
