The way of life anti-drug program
- we have started a new program for prevention, awareness and training of leaders to be capable to deal with addiction problems in their society.
- We have also continued to have our regular counseling meeting with addicts and their families in our counseling office at Saint Mark Pro-Cathedral and our activities this month includes:
- We made 3 awareness sessions in different areas :
- On Saint Mark youth meeting (30 attendance).
- On El –ras El –soda social center (28 ladies )
- we discuss how we raise our children nowadays, and keep them away of dangerous behavior, deviation like drug addiction.
- We had a meeting with the leaders of Presbyterian Church in Tanta city (120 Km away from Alexandria) the attendees were 25.
- We invited the leaders of Anglican churches in Egypt and the leaders of Alexandria different churches (all denominations) to share in a training course at Saint Catherin church in Alexandria from Junes 17-19 to train youth leaders to be capable on dealing with drug addiction problem in their churches.
- We send 5 guys this month for rehabilitation and we had 6 counseling sessions with addicts and ex-addicts and 4 sessions with addict’s families.
