Exciting opportunities in Egypt for volunteers.

Egypt is a Muslim country (90%) with the other 10% being mainly Coptic and other denomination Christians. Churches have a ministry to the needy through health and education programmes as well as with the large number of refugees.

The churches work with people from many nationalities but the advertised positions would be basically English speaking positions. Several positions are currently available and the Bishop is always willing to discuss possible openings with those who feel they would like to volunteer particular skills and have a heart for the people in this area.

All positions require people who are committed Christians, have good people skills, are team players, like a challenge and have the ability and desire to work alongside and support and encourage others. It is expected that the applicants would have experience and expertise in the area applied for. All positions would be suitable for early retirees. Applicants should be willing to be actively involved in the worship and ministry of the Episcopal Church.

Some knowledge of Arabic may be helpful but is not a prerequisite. A willingness to learn some basic Arabic is desirable and support and assistance would be available for this.

For position descriptions of any vacancies or to discuss any other possible opportunities please contact Bishop Mouneer by email at bishopmouneer@gmail.com
